Studio portrait of 3760 Private (Pte) Ernest William Busby, 22nd Battalion, of South Melbourne, Vic. Pte Busby, a driver before enlisting on 14 July 1915, embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Warilda on 8 February 1916 with the 9th Reinforcements. He was killed in action at Bullecourt on 3 May 1917, at the age of 28.
