Studio portrait of SX10105 Private (Pte) Robert Charles Hillman of Yumali, SA. A farmer before enlisting in August 1940, Pte Hillman served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/27 Battalion. He was killed in action during the withdrawal from Mission Ridge along the Kokoda Trail on 8 September 1942, aged 31.
