Studio portrait of 4634 Private (Pte) Harold Melmoth Jackson, 16th Battalion, of East Fremantle, WA. A horse-driver before enlisting on 10 November 1915, Pte Jackson embarked from Fremantle on 12 February 1916 on HMAT Miltiades with the 14th Reinforcements. He was killed in action in France on 6 August 1916 at the age of 28.
