Studio portrait of 2377 Acting Corporal (A/Cpl) Ronald Horan, 47th Battalion, of Kerry, Beaudesert, Qld. Formerly a farmer, A/Cpl Horan enlisted on 21 January 1916 and embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Seang Choon (A49) on 19 September 1916. He served on the Western Front where he died of wounds on 2 November 1917, aged 33.
