Studio portrait of QX10423 Lance Corporal (L Cpl) Laurence Harold Bruggemann, 2/25th Battalion. A native of Oakey, Qld, he enlisted on 4 July 1940. Later promoted to the rank of Corporal, Cpl Bruggemann died of wounds while serving in Papua on 16 September 1942, aged 23, and was buried at Bomana War Cemetery, Port Moresby.
