Studio portrait of 2850 Private (Pte) Harold Aubrey Taylor, 19th Battalion, of Picton, NSW. A railway employee prior to enlistment, Pte Taylor embarked with the 6th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Euripides on 2 November 1915. He transferred to the 4th Battalion in 1916 and was wounded in action. After returning to his unit he was killed in action in France on 16 April 1918, aged 20.
