Outdoor portrait of NX87090 Private (Pte) Paul Couch, 2/6 Independent Company, of Narrandera, NSW. An electrician in civilian life, Pte Couch enlisted on 2 February 1942. In 1943 his company was renamed 2/6 Cavalry Commando Squadron. Promoted to corporal, Couch was later killed in action in Balikpapan, Borneo, on 8 July 1945, aged 24.
