Informal portrait of SX3953 Lieutenant (Lt) Thomas William Wheatley, RAA Adelaide Costal Artillery, Largs Battery, of Jamestown, SA (originally of Glasgow, Scotland). He was a permanent soldier prior to enlistment in the 2nd AIF on 30 May 1940. Lt Wheatley, aged 37, died of injuries on 28 September 1944.
