Studio portrait of QX57226 Private (Pte) Malcolm Maurice Acworth, 15th Battalion, of Cannon Hill, Qld. He enlisted in the Citizens' Military Force in 1941 and served in New Guinea from March 1943. In August he enlisted in the AIF. Pte Acworth was killed in action near Tambu Bay, New Guinea on 1 September 1943. He was 21 years of age.
