Description
"The Burma Railway: One Man's Story" written by Major James William Jacobs. He was captured in Singapore and taken to Selarang Barracks, Changi. Major Jacobs was part of the 'A' Force who was taken to Burma. This Force first built an aerodrome at Tavoy before being marched to work on the railway. This manuscript contains detailed stories about life as a POW including his time at Kanburi, the officer's concentration camp at Siam before the war ended.
