Studio portrait of VX11656 Private (Pte) William Angus McDonald of Melbourne, Vic. A farm labourer before enlisting in March 1940, Pte McDonald served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/31 Battalion and was killed whilst on patrol near Ioribaiwa on the Kokoda Track on 14 September 1942, aged 34.
