Portrait of NX73569 Private (Pte) Lisle Gerard Rowe of Bellata, NSW, and his bride Jessica Elaine Rowe (nee Holland) cutting their wedding cake on their wedding day. Enlisting in the Second AIF in December 1941, Pte Rowe served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/31 Battalion and was killed in action during the attack on Lae on 15 September 1943, aged 22.
