Description
Port side photograph of HMAS PerthH (I) possibly taken after her return to Australian waters from the Mediterranean in mid 1941. Her catapult and aircraft, removed in the Mediterranean, have not yet been refitted. She is painted in a distinctive camouflage scheme, probably consisting of two shades of grey, the darker being 507A and the lighter 507C. This scheme was later replaced by a more angular one. The camouflage scheme and the range baffles attached to the funnels are distinctive characteristics in identifying Perth from her sister ships Hobart and Sydney.
