Studio portrait of NX55934 Corporal (Cpl) Herbert Stanislaus (Stan) McEvoy of Kingsford, NSW. Enlisting in the Second AIF in July 1940, Cpl McEvoy served in the Pacific campaign with the 2/12 Field Ambulance attached to Gull Force. He was captured on the island of Ambon and was killed by Japanese troops on 20 February 1942, aged 33. Cpl McEvoy has no known grave.
