Studio portrait of 1716 Private Thomas John (Tom) Lee, 18th Battalion, of Lismore (originally of Gerringong, NSW). A milk receiver prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 2nd Reinforcements on HMAT Kanowna (A61) on 19 June 1915. He was killed in action at Pozieres, France, on 28 July 1916 and has no known grave.
