Description
Dian of Harpsur, a German Shepherd (Alsatian) bitch belonging to 403827 later Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) Josiah Turner RAAF. Flt Sgt Turner enlisted in the RAAF on 3 March 1941. Dian was given to the RAAF and became War Dog number 508. She was trained at the War Dog Training Depot, before being transferred to the responsibility of Cpl Horseman of 81 Air Field Defence, Gayndah, Qld. Dian served as an RAAF guard dog until her death in the mid 1950s.
