Collection relating to Bruce Keith Chapman, 3 Cavalry Regiment
Australian M113A1 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) serial number 134738, name "& Tears II" loaded onto a trailer attached to a wrecker from a Light Aid Detachment attached to 3 Cavalry Regiment, after suffering damage from a mine; the driver, Trooper D F Westgate was wounded in action in this action. A peace symbol has been painted on the front of the APC. The APC was crewed by 216502 Corporal Douglas Thomas Lennox and 219648 Darrel Phillip Westgate from A Squadron, 3 Cavalry Regiment. One of a collection of images related to the service of 2792610 Trooper (Tpr) (later Corporal (Cpl)) Bruce Keith Chapman. Chapman served in Vietnam with A Squadron, 3 Cavalry Regiment from 3 September 1970 to 6 January 1971, and with B Squadron, 3 Cavalry Regiment from 7 January 1971 to 9 June 1971.
