Studio portrait of 4059 Private (Pte) Percy Armstrong, 22nd Battalion, of Armadale, Victoria. A labourer prior to enlistment on 3 January 1916, Pte Armstrong embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Wiltshire (A18) on 7 March 1916. He was killed in action at Bullecourt on 3 May 1917, aged 24, and has no known grave.
