Studio portrait of 7626 Gunner (Gnr) Aubrey Donald Old, 5th Field Artillery Brigade, of Collector, NSW. A station hand prior to enlisting in July 1915, Gnr Old embarked on board HMAT Persic (A34) on 18 November 1915. He was transferred in November 1916 to the 2nd Division of Trench Mortar Battery. On 3 May 1917, Gnr Old died of wounds received in action at Bullecourt. He was 22 years of age.
