Studio portrait of 6522 Private (Pte) William Thomas Goman, 13th Battalion, of Paddington, NSW. A plumber prior to enlisting in January 1916, Pte Goman embarked with the 13th Battalion 21st Reinforcements, on board HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 7 October 1916. In February 1917 Pte Goman was transferred to the 19th Battalion. He served in France and Belgium and was killed in action at Mont St Quentin, France, on 31 August 1918. He was 24 years of age.
