Outdoor portrait of 578 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Adam Howie "Curley" Brydon, No. 78 Squadron RAAF, probably at the awarding of his Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and Bar by the Duke of Gloucester at Sydney in April 1946. He is showing his award to two women, possibly his wife or sister, and mother. Sqn Ldr Brydon was awarded a DFC "for brave conduct in hazardous flying operations' and a bar to the DFC for "outstanding courage in flying operations" in 1944.
