Collection relating to 12688 Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Donald Mathieson Viney, HMAS Perth, Royal Australian Navy (RAN). CPO Viney was killed in action when the HMAS Perth was sunk in the Sunda Strait on 1 March 1942. Much of the correspondence is between CPO Viney (Don) and his wife, Mignon Martha Florence Viney.
