Informal portrait of brothers SX8943 Private (Pte) Glen Verdun Jones (left) and SX9836 Pte Kelvin Ellerton Jones, 2 Australian Army Service Corps, of Alford SA. The brothers became prisoners of war following the fall of Singapore in February 1942. Both died of illness in Siam; Glen Verdun Jones, aged 27, on 9 October 1943, and Kevin Ellerton Jones, aged 29, on 1 October 1943.
