Studio portrait of 408191 Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) Peter Lionel Barrett Marsh, No. 3 Operational Training Unit, Rathmines. Flt Lt Marsh was killed in an aircraft accident in the South West Pacific area on 4 February 1944, aged 27. He was posthumously awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal (DFC) for "Exceptional skill and courage on numerous flying sorties" on 30 May 1946. Flt Lt March is commemorated on Panel 9 of the Port Moresby Memorial, Papua New Guinea.
