Studio portrait of 2672 Private (Pte) George Bruce Fletcher Hunt, 17th Battalion, of Dubbo, NSW. A station overseer prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 6th Reinforcements on board HMAT Euripides (A14) on 2 November 1915. Pte Stanley was killed in action at Pozieres, Somme Sector, France on 2 August 1916; he was 19 years of age. He is buried at the Gordon Dump Cemetery, Ovillers-La Boisellle, France.
