Private Harold Allen McNamara
Description
Studio portrait of 2357 Private (Pte) Harold Allan McNamara, 33rd Battalion, of Uralla, NSW. A carpenter before enlisting on 28 March 1916, Pte McNamara embarked from Sydney with the 4th Reinforcements on HMAT Borda (A30) on 17 October 1916. He was killed in action at Messines on 7 June 1917, at the age of 23. He is buried in the Toronto Avenue Cemetery.
