Identified, back row, left to right: 1324 Private (Pte) Richard (Dick) Row (later killed in action 30 April 1915); 1245 Pte Douglas Austin Byard (later killed in action 2 May 1915); 1267 Pte George Foster (later Sergeant, 48th Battalion, killed in action 15 January 1917); 1342 Pte Alfred Bowden White (returned to Australia 13 February 1917); 1329 Pte Robert James Slocombe (later killed in action 2 May 1915).
