Description

Souvenir program for entertainment held during the First World War. This program is for entertainment held during the week beginning 6 September 1915 at the Soldiers' Recreation Club in Ezbekiah Gardens, Cairo. Entertainment included skating, cinema, variety concerts, orchestra and band concerts. Featured bands included the Band of the Second City of London Royal Fusiliers and the Egyptian Infantry Band. The venue, Soldiers' Recreation Club, was opeated by the Young Men's Christian Association and the Australian Branch of the Red Cross for the benefit of every soldier in Cairo.
