Item 1: Entertainment of visiting troops.
Description
Souvenir program for a theatrical performance held during the First World War. This program is for a series of three dramatic performances at the Railway Institute in Cape Town, South Africa between 6 and 9 August, year unknown. The featured plays were 'Glittering Gold', 'The Rising Dawn' and 'Engaging Algy'. The performances were in aid of the Visiting Troops Entertainment Committee. The program features a variety of photographs illustrating the work that this organisation did in Cape Town.
