Studio portrait of WX2727 Lieutenant (Lt) Noel Henry Tasker Bird, of Perth, WA. 2/28th Battalion. He embarked on 15 May 1940 in Subiaco, WA. Lt Bird was killed in action in Egypt on 21 July 1942, aged 24. He is buried at El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt.
