Description

Cinema program from the First World War. This program is for film screenings held at the American Cosmograph in Cairo from Saturday 22 to Friday 28 January 1916. The films showing were 'Pagodas of South India', 'The Magic Powder', 'A Long-Winded Job', 'All is not Gold...', 'Gaumont-Actualities', 'The 1914-1916 War', 'Irma, The Enchantress' and 'The Blood-Suckers'. The director of the cinema was J. Duployer. The cinema also supported a promotion by the Poulain Chocolat company where purchasers of this chocolate would receive discounted cinema tickets. This program is written in French, English, Arabic and Greek.
