Studio portrait of 511 Private (Pte) Cecil Willie Atholstan Green, 1st Machine Gun Company, of Marrickville, NSW. A mechanic prior to enlistment he embarked with the 8th Reinforcements on HMAT Hororata (A20) on 23 November 1916. He later transferred to the 22nd Australian Machine Gun Company and was killed in action in Belgium on 7 October 1917.
