Description

Studio portrait of 6157 Acting Sergeant Oscar Lavender Wilson, 18th Battalion. A warehouse clerk of Ashfield, NSW, prior to enlistment, he embarked on 25 October 1916 with the 17th Reinforcements. Lance Sergeant Wilson was wounded at Polygon Wood and died of these wounds on 20 September 1917, aged 31 years.
