Description
The remains of the cupola mounted .30 calibre machine gun mount and ammunition box on a Centurion Mk V/1 tank (ARN 169037) after being struck by a rocket propelled grenade whilst engaging an enemy bunker system during Operation Hermit Park in the north east of Phuoc Tuy Province on 25 June 1971. Two crew members, the vehicle commander, 1200348 Corporal Andrew Martin Anderson, (MID) and 2793807 Trooper Phillip Gregory Barwick were severely wounded during this action.
