Description
The Acting Commander, 1st Australian Task Force, Colonel D D Weir, returning the salute of Major P W Bourke, the Officer Commanding, C Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment. Whilst engaging an enemy bunker system during Operation Hermit Park, this Centurion Mk 5/1 tank, (ARN 169017), was hit by two rocket propelled grenades. Identified, standing in the turret (left) is 37709 Sergeant Stan Hanuszewicz, C Squadron, 1st Armoured Regiment.
