Studio portrait of 547 Private Richard Feeney, 19th Battalion of North Parramatta, NSW. A farm hand prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard the HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 25 June 1915. He was killed in action on 22 September 1915 at Gallipoli, Turkey, aged 31. He is buried in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
