Studio portrait of 1356 Private William Henry Forsyth, 4th Battalion of Parramatta, NSW. A station hand prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard the HMAT Seang Bee (A48) on 11 February 1915. He was killed in action on 6 August 1915 at the Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey, aged 29. His body was not found and he is remembered with honour on the Lone Pine Memorial, Turkey.
