Studio portrait of 3975 Private Leslie Quinn, 3rd Battalion of Auburn, NSW, brother of 1997 Pte Cecil Ross Quinn, (killed in action on 3 August 1916, see P08624.103). A cellarman prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard the HMAT Medic (A7) on 30 December 1915. He was killed in action on 29 June 1916 at the Somme, France, aged 28. He is buried in the Rue-David Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France.
