Studio portrait of 1090 Private Clive Stanley Hamilton, 13th (later 45th) Battalion of Moree, NSW. An engineer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ulysses (A 38) on 22 December 1914. He was killed in action "in the field" in Belgium on 6 October 1916, aged 23. He is buried in the Ridge Wood Military Cemetery, Belgium.
