Studio portrait of 1254 Private Warwick James McLeod, 17th Battalion of Granville, NSW. A signwriter prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Themistocles (A32) on 12 May 1915. He was killed in action near Albert, France on 27 July 1916, aged 21. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
