Studio portrait of 4432 Private Arthur John Andrews, 2nd Battalion of Auburn, NSW. A carpenter prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard the RMS Osterley on 15 January 1916. He was killed in action in the Ypres Salient, Belgium on 3 September 1916, aged 27. He is buried in the Railway Dugouts Burial Ground, Belgium.
