Studio portrait of 2833 Private Leslie Power, 5th Field Ambulance (later 12th Australian Field Ambulance Australian Army Medical Corps) of Clyde, NSW. A locomotive cleaner prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ajana (A31) on 31 May 1915. He was killed in action on 9 August 1918 during the advance from Hamelet, France near Villers-Bretonneux, aged 24. He is buried in the Daours Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
