Studio portrait of 730 Private Bertie Clyde Willick, 17th Battalion of Auburn, NSW. A carriage builder prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Themistocles (A32) on 12 May 1915. He was killed in action, on 28 August 1915, at Gallipoli, Turkey, aged 26. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
