Studio portrait of 1091 Bugler Albert Robert Dawson, 3rd Battalion of Lidcombe, NSW. A safe maker prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Euripides (A14) on 20 October 1914. On 4 August 1915, he was killed in action at Gallipoli, Turkey, aged 25. He is buried in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
