Studio portrait of 2980 Private Percy Mingo Dwyer, 1st Battalion of Newtown, NSW. An estate agent prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Argyllshire (A8) on 30 September 1915. On 22 July 1916, aged 36, he was in killed action at Pozieres, France. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
