Studio portrait of 2205 Private William Chalmers Lackie 45th Battalion of Liverpool, NSW. A labourer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Wiltshire (A18) on 22 August 1916 Pte Jackson was killed in action near Gueudecourt, France on 24 February 1917, aged 31. He is buried in the Bancourt British Cemetery, France.
