Studio portrait of 5827 Private (later Sergeant) Percy Ernest Bergman, 1st Field Bakery Australian Army Service Corps of Cabramatta, NSW. A baker prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Hororata (A20) on 10 April 1915. He died of pneumonia in the 1st Australian General Hospital, Rouen, France, aged 27. He is buried in the St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen, France.
