Studio portrait of 3228A Private Frederick John Page, 20th (later 56th) Battalion of Canley Vale, NSW. A wool classer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic (A29) on 20 December 1915. He was killed in action on 8 July 1918, near Sailley le Sec, France, aged 23. He is buried in the Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
