Studio portrait of Private (Pte) Ernest Richard Warnecke, AIF Recruits Depot, of Maryborough, Vic. Pte Warnecke, a farmer prior to enlisting on 28 September 1917, died of meningitis on 17 November 1917 at Fairfield Hospital. He was 19 years of age.
