Studio portrait of Merle and her husband Clive NX4527 Private (Pte), Clarence Clive William Trelford, Australian Army Service Corps, of Canowindra, NSW. A school teacher prior to enlistment on 29 April 1941. Pte Trelford died of illness aged 40 whilst a prisoner of war (POW) in Ambon on 20 May 1944, he is buried at the Ambon War Cemetery, Indonesia.
